When your child is offered a place at Rainbow Montessori School a deposit and registration fee of £360 becomes payable. £300 will be refunded when your child leaves the nursery, and deducted from the fees of your last term with us, provided there are no other outstanding payments due and you have provided the correct notice period.

Funding Schemes

We do participate in the following :

• 15 hours 2-year-olds working families (if eligible) and
• Universal 3- and 4-year-old – 15 hours

The Nursery School is open term time only. One term is on average three months in duration.

• Autumn term runs from September to December
• Spring term runs from January to March
• Summer term runs from April to July

All nursery children must attend a minimum of five sessions in order to fully benefit from the Montessori philosophy and education.

Rainbow can only offer a minimum of 5 sessions attendance and up to a maximum of 5 full days attendance to any child.

You can choose from the following session combinations:

• 5 morning sessions
• 5 afternoon sessions

or*,

• 4 afternoons and 1 morning
• 1 full day and 3 afternoon sessions
• 1 full day and 3 morning sessions
• 2 full days and 1 morning session

or

• 2 full days and 1 afternoon session.

Or any combination of as long as it makes the total sessions attended no less than five per week in total and up to 5 full days. The ideal attendance for establishing a routine and settling in quickly is when a child begins with a minimum of 5 sessions (mornings or afternoons) initially and then slowly builds up to full time attendance, as they mature and in preparation for primary school.

*Please note that if you opt for one of the attendance options above and then wish to increase/change we may not be able to accommodate your request on desired sessions/days immediately and may require one term’s notice or more depending on the waiting list and availability. *

Equally, when a child is enrolled full time, and the parent then wishes to decrease the attendance either by one session or to an absolute minimum of five sessions the school requires one full term’s notice of intention to change the attendance.

We offer a small number of fully government funded places (just 15 hours) for 3–4-year-olds.

All places and sessions are subject to availability (including overall numbers and statutory staff/student ratios).

Rainbow’s ethos is built around the Montessori Method of education and as such strongly advocates that children over the age of 3 years old attend a minimum of 5 sessions (am or pm) in order that a child can fully benefit from the environment in our nurseries and the morning and/or afternoon Montessori work cycle.

For parents claiming the free entitlement only, no fees are required in advance.

All applications for Free Entitlement only Places (FEOP) must be in writing.

Parents should inform us if their child attends another setting and is already in receipt of this funding.
